E-Commerce
The e-commerce market has grown massively over the last 15 years and e-commerce currently represents around 7% of our business and is growing.
Amazon is the behemoth of the industry and with it’s massive warehouses, intelligent tech and the unbridled ambition of Jeff Bezos they have really sought to dominate the industry. Most of the staff in our office have Prime memberships and love Amazon for it’s ease of use.
We do fantastic volumes with Amazon in the UK and plan to start working closely with them in other markets.
While Amazon is the biggest player of the industry there are loads of other platforms like Ebay, Wish, Groupon, Etsy and Tiktok shop where good sales volumes can also be achieved.
In addition to the major e-commerce platforms there are plenty of other businesses that just focus on selling through their own websites and through social media. Websites like those of Monmore Confectionery which focus on trade sellers move significant volumes and others with a good social media following like Sweetzy, the Sweetie Shoppie and Poppin Candy (with a Tiktok following of over 9 million!) also can move significant volumes.
E-commerce is growing and is likely to be a fast growing sector of the market for Sweetzone in the years to come in both the UK and overseas.
